If we install Virtual PC 2007, neither of them (Virtual PC 2007 and VPC7) works. So we can use it dicretly without installing Virtual PC 2007. This is where the VPC experts answer questions. So, now Ive got a Vista Ultimate host running VMware Player v2.0.2, which is running a guest WinXP Home Edition originally created with Microsoft Virtual PC 2007, then converted to a VMware machine using VMware Converter v3, then imported into VMware Player v2.0. With Windows Virtual PC, Windows XP Mode applications can be seen and accessed from a Windows 7 desktop. My choices currently are, keep windows 7 and totally ignore windows 10, or purchase something like vmware, since hyper v, absolutely cannot do what I need. Well im debugging a windows CE application from visual studio in the Windows Device Emulator, now to setup the network i go to File -> Configure -> Network, i enable a network card and press OK, then i get this message: 'The required Virtual Machine Network Driver could not be found. If this doesn't help, you might want to post this message to the Virtual PC Support group. Is there ANY way for me to run virtual PC instead of hyper v in windows 10. Windows Device Emulator V3, windows 7 + Network. This should work, if you have focus on the VPC window, when you press that keyboard combination? Can this be temp disabled in vista so I can login to server 2003 and disable it in there? MS would like their users to use Hyper-V and not run older operating systems, and when it comes to their own virtualization solutions, there's nothing stopping them from keeping Virtual PC 2007 unusable on Windows 10. The problem is that when I try to start server2003 by ctrl-alt-delete at the login page, the combination brings up task manger in vista. One obvious advantage of both Virtual PC 2007 and VMware are the guest additions. I am trying to run Server 2003 on virtual pc. I am using Vista Ultimate and have Virtual PC 2007 installed.
